Intense Mike Leigh regular Eddie Marsan and adorable young Scotish actor Martin Compston (best known to audiences by his starring role in Sweet Sixteen) play Danny and Vic, two gay May–December lovers who met in prison and attempt to pull off a kidnapping together.
Their victim is Alice Creed (Quantum of Solace star Gemma Arterton) - the daughter of a millionaire. This simple premise sets the stage for an intense, minimalist thriller. With just a few evocotive locations and three capable performers, The Disappearance of Alice Creed delivers numerous edge-of-your-seat twists. The film also made it into our very popular Celebrity Skin & Nudity section as Martin Compston flashes some brief full-frontal and lots of backside while handcuffed to a bed.
